The Imus Show

I will try to keep this one short. Everyone has an opinon on this issue, well, here is mine.

I believe that what the guy said was truly offensive and actions should be taken. Now, I would like to see the black community equally offended when their own people (rappers, etc) are the first ones in calling their women 'bitches' and 'hos'. I would like to see the black community pushing their people to boycott those 'stars'.

Offensive is offensive, it shouldn't matter who is saying it...and rappers do not called their women bitches in a loving way. So, grilled Imus all that you want. But grilled your own people the same way when they voice the same offensive statements.

Respect starts at home. You have to respect yourself to be able to demand some level of respect. I do not see that happening.

I'm not gonna defend Imus. Surely, his comments were racist. But just to clarify something, it wasn't the "HO's" part that made this a racist comment. But it was the "HO's" part that made it sexist too. HO's has nothing to do with red or yellow or black or white.
